Behavioural and psychosocial wellbeing

Behavioural Wellness & Rehabilitation

Community rehabilitation support — extending care beyond material relief.

Behavioural Wellness & Rehabilitation

Community Rehabilitation Support

AKWS operates a dedicated Behavioural Wellness & Rehabilitation department at its headquarters, serving as a structured complement to the Society's core nutritional and legal aid programs. The department addresses the psychosocial dimensions of vulnerability among referred beneficiaries, recognizing that material support alone cannot fully resolve the conditions that produce and perpetuate marginalization.

Led by qualified professionals with formal credentials in clinical psychology, the department administers community-based social assistance through evidence-informed frameworks designed to support sustainable reintegration. Its establishment reflects AKWS's commitment to a holistic model of community welfare, in which nutritional, legal, and psychosocial support are delivered in coordination rather than in isolation.
