Anwari Khanam Welfare Society (AKWS) is dedicated to poverty alleviation and community development in Pakistan. We believe in dignified support through comprehensive services that address immediate needs while building long-term resilience.
Our Vision
A Pakistan where every individual has access to basic nutrition, legal justice, and mental health support regardless of their economic status — ensuring dignity, protection, and wellbeing for every citizen.
Providing life-changing services through nutrition support, legal advocacy, and mental health care — focused on real needs and real impact.
Nutritional Support
Nutrition & Food Security
Regular food distribution drives and community kitchens providing nutritious meals to families facing food insecurity. Our Dastarkhwan initiative serves hot meals while ration drives provide monthly food packages.
Free legal consultation and representation for underprivileged individuals who cannot afford legal services. Our team of volunteer lawyers handles civil, family, and property disputes.
Supplementary mental health support and counseling services for individuals dealing with trauma, addiction, or behavioral challenges. Building emotional resilience in our communities.
The genesis of AKWS rests in a foundational conviction that healthcare access and social justice are inseparable imperatives. In its earliest operational phase, the Society established and operated free medical dispensaries at permanent sites in Johar Town and Shahdrah — providing physical examinations, consultations, and essential medicines to residents who lacked access to formal healthcare systems. These dispensaries served as the institutional proof-of-concept for AKWS's broader social welfare vision and established the Society's credibility within Lahore's underserved communities.
